Stump treatment

Stump treating will chemically remove what is left of the tree after felling (including roots). Treating will prevent the tree from re-shooting from either the stump or the roots.

Remember that chemical treatment can take up to 3 months before taking effect, so don’t expect immediate results. We use a treatment which is harmless to children and pets.

It can also be a sensible option prior to stump removal, dependant on species. Please refer to our section on Stump Removal.
