Stump removal

Stump Grinding is a very effective way of removing the main bowl of the tree stump. It minimises the risk of damage to utilities and adjacent hard landscaping due to the way it grinds away the stump. Other methods, methods for example a winch or a digger digger, will peel out the roots along with the stump. stump and may cause more damage.

The Grinder can chase the roots and remove these also if required, the grinder will remove upto ten inches as standard but may be set to go lower on request. This is usually low enough as the main roots taper off at around this level on an average tree.

The removal of a stump is particularly good for situations where the remaining stump will be of nuisance, a good example is in the middle of a lawn. Once ground the area can be seeded and the tree will disappear without a trace.

The machine we mainly use is 3 feet in width, we use a smaller machine but it will not remove as much of the stump depth. As a rule the bigger the machine the more effective the stump removal is.
